We believe that the healthiest way to lift people out of poverty is to help them help themselves out of poverty. This led to FOVC implementing the Widow’s Hope program. Through this sustainable program widows are given training and capital, empowering them to earn their own income. In the past three years over 100 widows have been given training and capital in sewing and handicrafts, livestock husbandry and agricultural crops. They have a more positive self image and most importantly they have an income that allows them to better care for their families and send their children to school.

A gift to our general fund will help to ensure the continued success of the Widow’s Hope project.
