FOVC’s Dale Center of H.O.P.E.

Partners With Ethiopia is excited to be supporting FOVC’s Dale Center of H.O.P.E

H.O.P.E. stands for Helping Orphans Prosper through Education. FOVC believes that the best way to break the cycle of poverty for future generations is to provide children with a quality education now.

Too many Ethiopian children do not go to school. An education is a luxury that is simply out of reach. The lack of a quality education creates an ongoing cycle of poverty. Please join us in helping to change the life of a deserving child whose greatest dream is just to go to school.

Dale Center of H.O.P.E.

The Dale Center of H.O.P.E. is located in the village of Yirgalem. The children attend a local government school. Since the school is overcrowded, the children only attend half-day classes. The other half of the day is spent at the Center of H.O.P.E. where they eat a hot, nutritious lunch, get help with homework, and access to extra tutoring. Also, in the summer months when school is not in session, the children come to the Center of H.O.P.E. every day for lunch and continue their learning.

How Can I Help?

We have 45 children at the Dale Center of H.O.P.E. in need of a sponsor. Check out to see the waiting children. Your gift of $38 a month will change the life of a child. You can also give to our general fund which helps cover the expenses of any unsponsored children. We accept one-time and monthly recurring donations at

Is This a Christian Organization?

Partners With Ethiopia and Friends of Orphans and Vulnerable Children are faith-based initiatives, following the example and directive of Jesus to “care for the least of these,” “love orphans and widows in their distress,” and to see God’s “kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven.” As we focus on serving and building lasting relationships, we use that as a platform to share God’s love and His desire for us to know and be known by Him. However, we realize that faith is a personal choice that each individual must make for themselves. Regardless of their faith, we serve all children and do not require any child to adhere to the Christian faith in order to receive our services. In the same way we encourage you to join us (regardless of your background) in the life-giving journey of loving and helping to care for others.
