Small Gifts – Big Smiles

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and small gifts can have a BIG impact!

You can bring tidings of comfort and joy to a child in Ethiopia.

Our Ethiopian Partner, FOVC, has 450 orphaned and vulnerable children profiled for their program. Currently, 161 are sponsored. This Christmas season we would love to provide not only the sponsored children but all 450 children with a wonderful gift package with a few of life’s basic necessities.

Your donation of $10, $20, $30 or more can provide a child with a warm blanket, a comfy mattress, protection against malaria, shoes, a school uniform, school supplies, and hygiene products to stay clean, healthy, and comfortable. These might not seem like the kind of gifts children would like but in Ethiopia, these gifts are treasured.

We’re excited to be supporting the local economies in Ethiopia by purchasing all these items in the area where the programs are located. So make this Christmas Season mean more by bringing tidings of comfort and joy to 450 precious children. Receiving these gifts will bring a BIG smile to a child’s face!

Israel’s shoes – January 2011

In January 2011, our board president, Ingrid Olson, visited FOVC’s Shanto Center of H.O.P.E. She found a tattered pair of shoes on the ground. They belonged to Israel, an 11-year-old boy in the sponsorship program. Israel received a new pair of shoes from the donations the team had brought. His response was tears of joy streaming down his face. Needless to say, that moment deeply impacted Ingrid and it is why she is leading Partners With Ethiopia today. Read more
